So as not to confuse anyone reading this thread, I'll clarify the terms...
The US Citizen is always the"Petitioner", the UK Citizen (Intending Immigrant) is always the "Beneficiary".
The I-130 is the Petition. It is filled out by the US Citizen Petitioner.
The DS-230 is the Visa Application. It is filled out by the UK Citizen Beneficiary (in this case, your UK Citizen Husband).
Often just one person in an immigrating couple will handle the paperwork, which is fine. If you are completing the DS-230 yourself, you are doing so on behalf of your husband so be sure that it is filled out from his perspective.
Regarding the Checklist - The documents listed on this form (The DS-2001) are required for the interview and should be taken to the interview in person, not mailed. http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new...DS2001list.pdf
No documents or copies of any kind are to be mailed with the DS-230 Pt I.
A copy of the biographical page of your passport should accompany the I-130 (which you may have already sent). A copy of the biographical page of your passport should also
accompany the I-864 Affidavit of Support: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/usc...45f3d6 a1RCRD
Hope this answers your questions.
