Hello, due to family illness and the inability to find work in the USA i am having to suspend my green card until i can find decent work in the states (I'm back in the UK currently).
I know that this is possible on a 2 year basis (thanks to a very helpful immigration officer in New York telling me) but i have no idea where to find the forms to do this..... I would be very greatful for any help..

I think what you want is an I-131 re-entry permit, I don't know too much about them but I believe that you have to apply from inside the US and complete the biometrics before you leave.
