Default Student visa advice

A friend of mine is looking into studying in America but doesn't have the money to do this herself. Is there anyway that she can do this?

Can she apply for a loan, or a sponsor in the US? What does a sponsor have to prove for this?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

She can certainly apply for a loan. She'd have to see what financial companies would give her one. US federal loans will not apply as she's not a US taxpayer/resident, and I don't think the UK's Student Loan Company will give loans for study outside the EU, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I guess the first stop would be her local bank to see what kind of rate they could give, and use that as a comparison when loan shopping.

A few of the very top colleges offer full financial aid to anyone who needs it, irrespective of whether they are a US student or international. Princeton is one of these. Other than that I'm not sure what's available, except for looking for any kind of loan possible.
