Default Cats are good for you!

So a study suggests, anyway:

I think the quote about stress is very true, I owned a cat and when stressed out that cat came and sat on lap (and dug it's claws in of course) but got the stroking of it's life every time I was feeling stressed. It really did relax me and quite often would nod off in the chair or on the couch for forty winks, often woken up again quite soon feeling as tho I was having an acupuncture treatment!
Can you put a smile back on - all these different faces
Of all these people from - such different places
And if you can succeed - what then will you achieve

Very interesting, thanks for the link!

We're taking our lovely black cat with us to the US, in less than a month. Making the arrangements necessary have been a bit stressful, and worrying about how he will cope, but having a cat in the house is great and we couldn't leave him, though our neighbours would happily take him on.

Cats are very good at relaxing, and hate loud noises and big movements. Our house is a haven of peace, and many hours are spect stroking the cat, often with the cat on our laps as he loves quiet company and attention.

We brought our two black cats from the UK and have since added a tuxedo cat. They are my saving grace and a source of many hours of play, loving, etc.
