I wanted to start a thread for everyone to say where they've found British products and what they've found there. It can be an online shop, somewhere in the UK that will export to you in the US, or just your supermarket. Hopefully this will help others track down the products theyre missing. Also if you've found something thats a pretty good substitute, let us know about that too.

I've found various things in the grocery stores (baked beans, HP sauce, Cadbury's) but many of the things there tend to be made in Canada or the USA, and are not excactly the same as the imported stuff.
My Dad has found a bit of imported stuff on the military base in Tacoma, WA (Ft Lewis, McCord), and we've gotten stuff in the Seattle-area import stores in the past, too.
I'm awesome. Wanna know more? Check out my blog, "Just Frances".
Grabbed a bag of Cadbury's mini eggs yesterday. In the past (before I lived in England) I swear they were "real" Cadbury's, and only available at Easter. I bit into one yesterday and thought it was a bit "off"...so after a handful more I remembered someone writing that now Cadbury's has allowed Hershey's to manufacture the product here in the USA and checked the back...yep, made in PA and does not taste "authentic".
So, will be making another trip down the road to the British Import store about an hour away. The crisps are like $2 a bag, and the kinder eggs were $2.50, but when it comes to chocolate it is worth it! (I did eat another handful of the imposter eggs, however.)
OMG i tried a Hershey bar thinking it was going to be awesome and i got flashbacks to eating rubber as a child
He looked haggard and careworn, like a Borgia who has suddenly remembered that he has forgotten to shove cyanide in the consomme, and the dinner-gong due any moment.

Last Easter my mother bought a bunch of candy...and the twins (then 6) wouldn't eat it...they wanted Dairy Milk! My mom thought they were quite the brats, but you guys understand. Since then they have settled into plain Hershey's bars...but their favorite, and mine, is Reese's peanut butter cups!
Why do Hershes kisses milk chocolate taste so much better than the Hershe bar. kisses taste almost like cadburys and teh bar tastes like cooking chocolate ie Scotbloc.
Someone gave us Russel stover chocolates at Xmas they were vile.
M & I have found that we like Ghirardelli chocolate better than any other (UK or US). It's positively addicting
I'm not a huge chocolate person, but I also vote for Ghirardelli. The eggnog squares they made for Christmas were awesome!
Funny about the Cadbury eggs. I have hated those things since I was a kid, whether bought in the US or UK, but I tried one this year (UK) and liked it.
I just wanted to add an updated post to this sticky to add my two cents.
My husband is vegetarian, so we were on the hunt for Quorn here, I knew they sold it in the US, but tracking it down was a bit harder. We found it in a health food grocery store, but in very limited quantities. We recently moved to St. Louis and found that Whole Foods stock a very good variety of Quorn including the chicken-style pieces, and even the roast! I noticed Quorn lists one grocery store as having it in every single location, and I can tell you that's not the case, Schnucks does not carry Quorn products in any of the locations we've been to, and here in St. Louis it's on every corner.
Speaking of Schnucks and Whole Foods, they both carry Green & Blacks white chocolate, something I have found difficult to obtain elsewhere, although even Wal-Mart carry their dark and milk varities, go figure.
I also have been looking for golden syrup (not found it yet but will let you know if I do) and heinz baked beans..and who could forget biscuits! My poor husband is dying to have some hob nobs and digestives. I called up the World Market in our area (actually there's 3, so glad we moved to the city!), and they carry the McVities biscuits, and not only the big tins of Heinz but also small ones!
I'm making a trip there tomorrow, I can't wait to surprise my guy with the goodies I've found
It may be worth having a look in an Asian supermarket if you have one nearby, we have two and you can find biscuits, marmite etc at more reasonable prices than World Market, still not cheap though.
Goes without saying you can get everything to make a good curry too.

Thanks for that, I'll have to check and see if there are any Asian stores nearby. I know we have Mexican grocery stores around, so I'm sure there must be Asian somewhere, and we just got at least 4 copies of the yellow pages from the phone company... lol
For now World Market will work so my husband can get his fix.
